Belbin's team role assessment shows your preferred team roles. This doesn't mean that you can only have these roles in a team, but it's the roles which you prefer.

Belbin Team Role Inventory

A Belbin Team Inventory is an assessment used to gain insight into an individual's behavioural tendency in a team environment. My most recent and complete Belbin Team Role Reports (November 2007) shows that my preferred natural team roles are:

  1. Plant
  2. Teamworker
  3. Specialist

My Belbin Self-Perception:

  1. Plant
  2. Specialist
  3. Co-ordinator og Resource Investigator

My colleagues assessement of me was a little differently. They see my preferred roles as:

  1. Teamworker
  2. Plant
  3. Completer Finisher

Customers and partners think my preferred are:

  1. Plant
  2. Specialist
  3. Completer Finisher

In 2011 I completed another Belbin Self-Perception Inventory at a management course at Niels Brock/TDC, and there my preferred natural roles were: Shaper, Plant and Resource Investigator. Please note, that it was a selftest.
